CAX - Parks & Picnic Areas

Need the perfect spot for a picnic or cookout? Navy MWR Community Recreations Picnic and Park facilities include playgrounds, pedestal grills, volleyball courts, restrooms, horseshoe pits, picnic tables, pavilions and more. MWR has the perfect picnic area for your next function. Open to Active Duty, Retirees, NAF or DoD civilians and sponsored guests.

Locations & Rates

284 Group Site

The 284 Group Site offers a covered pavilion with benches, two fire pits, full bath house, charcoal grill and can accommodate up to a maximum of 200 people. Overnight camping is also available. 284 Group Site is availabel by reservation only and costs $40.00 per day.

Penniman Pointe

The Penniman Pointe picnic area offers a covered pavilion with benches, charcoal grill and located next to the Penniman Pointe fishing dock. The Penniman Pointe picnic area is free to use, open seven days a week from dawn to dusk, and available on a first-come first-serve basis.

Kings Pointe

the Kings Pointe picnic area offers a covered pavilions with benches, charcoal grill, full service restrooms and is located right next to the CAX Outdoor Pool, sand volleyball court, children play area and basketball court. Kings Pointe can accommodate up to a maximum of 75 people, available by reservation only and costs $40 per day

Youth Pond

The Youth Pond group site offers a covered pavilion with benches, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball court, children play area, full service bath house, charcoal grill, fire pit, youth fighing pier. Overnight camping is available. Youth Pond accommodates up to a maximum of 100 people, is available by reservation only and cost $40 per day.

Trailer Road

The Trailer Road picnic area offers two coverd pavilions with benches, charcoal grill, children play area and full service restrooms. Trailer Road accommodates up to a maximum of 100 people, is available by reservation only and cost $40 per day.
